Kentucky native Cynthia Gregory is a multi-media artist whose practice spans drawing, sculpture, and art books. Gregory works within her own visual vocabulary inspired by ephemera and tactile experiences of the everyday inspiring the elusive. Her style attempts to encourage deep-looking and prolonged attention from the viewer, tasked to re-evaluate what is seen and to deconstruct assumptions. In 2016, Gregory was selected to be the Artist in Residence at The Hambridge Center for Creative Arts & Sciences in Georgia. Her work has been exhibited in national and international venues including Indianapolis Art Center, Indiana; Kalamazoo Book Arts Center, Michigan; Blue Star Contemporary Museum of Art, San Antonio and Raday Kesehay Gallery, Budapest.
