Original Rudyard Kipling Watercolor "Old Timer"

An original watercolor titled ‘Old Timer’ by artist Rudyard Kipling (American 1924-2008). This piece features a man with a long beard and pipe in his mouth, set in a linen mat and intricately carved wooden frame. The base of the frame has an engraved plaque that reads ‘Old Timer Rudyard Kipling’. The painting is signed by the artist ‘Rudyard Kipling’ in the bottom right-hand corner of the piece. The back of the painting has artist’s biography attached.
Rudyard Kipling (1924-2008) was a prominent artist and direct descendant of the famous writer of the same name, Joseph Rudyard Kipling. The artist studied portrait painting in New York under Francis Criss, and was well known for his oil paintings and watercolors. He won several national awards for his work and was a Pulitzer Prize nominee. He was a member of the American Society of Portrait Artists and The American Society of Classical Realism.
Condition
Areas of wood ware finish loss on frame. Linen matte is has areas of ware and discoloration.
