Nuremberg Jeton of King Louis XIII by Wolf Laufer II. Created by Master Jeton Maker Wolf (Wulf) Lauffer II in 1612, this jeton; a counting or gaming token, features a Galloping king on horse back facing the left on the obverse with ‘LVDOVICVS XIII D.G.FRAN.ET.NA.’ surrounding it and the shields of France and Navarra with a crowed sword piercing the center and ‘WOLF LAVFER RECHENPFENING.M.C.’ surrounding it on the reverse.
