Item Details

A rare John Stobart (Massachusetts and Florida, b. 1929) photo offset lithographic print titled ‘Cincinnati: The Sternwheel Packet ’Hudson’ Approaching the City in 1888.’ This is a view of the ‘Queen City of the West’ not long after the completion of the Roebling Suspension Bridge. The bridge was the predecessor to New York’s Brooklyn Bridge, both designed by John A. Roebling. This is one of Stobart’s classic riverfront scenes, gorgeous in color and rich in detail. The print is in beautiful condition, is long sold-out (published in 1988) and is very difficult to locate now. This print is signed and numbered 459/950. This print is professionally matted and framed.
