While studying with Josef Albers at Yale University during the 1950s, Anuszkiewicz was also studying the psychology of perception, aiding in his development of theories of how the eye organizes visual material. It was during his studies at Yale that his intense interests in color, shape, and line began to present themselves in his artwork. By 1965, he had become a leading force in the Op Art movement. Anuszkiewicz’s works are represented in the collections of dozens of prestigious institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Art Institute of Chicago; Whitney Museum of American Art; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago; the Solomon R.
