Original Al Robi Relief Print

Item Details

An original woodcut relief print by well respected New York printmaker Al Robi. Entitled ‘Flying Machine, Plan A,’ and numbered 55 in a limited edition of 275. The print features Robi’s unique style of printing which involves extensive ink layering in order to create texture. The artist has created an image which does not seek to create an illusion of three dimensionality. Instead the artist has depicted a novel illustration of some sort of flying machine with a graphic, line based, two dimensional flatness, an elementary sort of blue print. The print features a Certificate of Authenticity to the verso from Frame Maker Ltd. and is presented in a metal frame with brown paint and a beige colored mat to edge.

Condition

- the print was clearly irresponsibly mounted to the mat at some point as can easily be discerned from the brown tape residue to both the left and right margins.
