1805 George Washington Bronze Medal by Daniel Eccleston of Lancaster. The obverse features the armored bust of George Washington facing right and text ‘General Washington / Inscribed To His Memory By D. Eccleston, Lancaster MDCCCV.’ The reverse has a Native American Warrior with arrow and bow facing right with the text in concentric rings around him reading, ‘He Laid The Foundation Of American Liberty In The XVIII Century / Innumerable Millions Yet Unborn Will Venerate The Memory / Of The Man Who Obtained Their Countrys Freedom / The Land Was Ours.’ Designer: Daniel Eccleston. Metal Content: 96% copper. Diameter: 76mm. Weight’ 142.7 grams. Metal has dents and nicks to the rim and light scratches to the fields.
