G.A.R. Organization Badges, Memorial Ribbons, General Service Buttons, and More

The collection features (60) General Service uniform buttons on original boards; (22) G.A.R. organization badges; (5) memorial ribbons; (3) celluloid buttons; and (1) celluloid photo badge. Included are numerous badges issued by Women’s Relief Corps (G.A.R. auxiliary) and Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War (G.A.R. successor organization). The 6th O.V.I. (Ohio Volunteer Infantry) badge made by Whitehead & Hoag shows a brass framed photographic depiction of Captain C. L. Langle. The badges are housed in a protective display case.
