Cuba 5 Pesos, 1 Peso, and 50 Centavos Banknotes. This lot consists of a 50-Centavos note issued in 1896 by El Banco Español De La Isla De Cuba and a 1960 5-Peso and 1956 1-Peso note issued by the Banco Nacional De Cuba. The 50-Centavos note features Spanish Royal imagery to the obverse and denomination and tobacco plant to the reverse. The 5-Peso note a left facing Maximo Gomez and calvary charge to the obverse and cigar industry to the reverse and the 1-Peso note a forward facing José Martí to the obverse and sugar cane industry and Cuban coat of arms to the reverse. The notes have all been circulated with vertical fold lines and the 1 and 5-Peso notes measure 5 1/2′ × 2 3/8’.
