Toned 1805 Carolus IIII Mexican Spanish Colonial Silver 8 Reales Coin. Often considered ’America’s first silver dollar’ this coin features a right facing King Charles IV fo Spain to the obverse and royal coat of arms to the reverse between two pillars. Metal Content: 90% silver, 10% copper. Diameter: approximately 37mm. Weight: approximately 26.6 grams. The coin has been circulated with wear, exhibits rainbow toning to the obverse while the reverse has been cleaned.
