1856 Indian Princess Head Gold $1 Coin. This coin features a left-facing Liberty in Eastern style Native American headdress to the obverse and “1 DOLLAR” in a wreath of laurels to the reverse. Designer: James Barton Longacre. Mintage: 1,762,936. Metal content: 90% Gold, 10% copper. Diameter: 14.3mm. Weight: approx. 1.67 grams. Coin appears lightly circulated.
