Vintage Texaco Fire Chief Hat with Box

Item Details

This lot contains a 1960s Texaco Fire Chief helmet with the original box. The hat is made of plastic. The hat comes with a push-button microphone in which, when used, the operators voice is projected out from the loudspeaker, which is the round portion of the front shield of the hat. The battery compartment is clean. A real fireman’s hat has the eagle at the top of the shield, this toy helmet has an eagle as well. The metal ring, for hanging, on the very back of the helmet is still present. The original box reveals that this hat was only given to Texaco dealers to sell. This is a great 1960s Texaco premium made by Park Plastics Co. of Linden, New Jersey.
