*An original oil on canvas signed by listed artist, Gertrude Grigorov. It depicts a wooded landscape with a ray of sun lighting the forest pathway. Framed in a shadow box style wood frame accented with gold painted edges. The artist is from Germany and She and her husband met and married in the Bavarian Alps, around Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which inspired many of her landscape paintings along with much of her work. The couple emigrated to the US in the 1960s and settled in Cincinnati; much of her painting was done here. Her fascination with water scenes can be attributed the influence of the Ohio River. In the 1980s, the couple moved back to Germany
