Item Details
A Bev Doolittle signed and numbered print titled ‘The Forest Has Eyes’, initially issued in 1984. The print beautifully illustrates a woodland setting with a trail dissecting the composition, the horse and rider seemingly unaware of the Native American Indian faces camouflaged in the heavily wooded background. Bev Doolittle (1947-) was born and raised in California where she attended the prestigious Art Center College of Design in LA.. Camouflaged imagery is her unique signature genre, forcing the viewer to slowly digest the image in order to observe the detailed work and hidden messages. Her work is eagerly sought and avidly collected. This print is numbered 492/8544 with the artist’s signature in pencil in the lower right corner and the print documentation is affixed to the back. A plush green mat and wood frame nicely finishes the print.
