The son of notable western artist Joe Rader Roberts, Gary Lynn Roberts began his artist education early. Winning an award for painting at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo at age 14, Roberts began pursuing art professionally from the young age of eleven, painting signs for grocery stores and movie posters. Today Roberts frequently participates in the C.M. Russell Museum’s annual fall auction in Great Falls, Montana. He is a member of the Skull Society of Artists, a group of living artists who are selected by the museum for their excellency in western themed painting.
