Wendell Rogers was born South Orleans, Massachusetts in 1890. He studied at the Scott Carbee School of Art in Boston before settling in Cape Cod where he established a studio in Chatham. He was a prolific artist, known for his paintings of the of the surrounding landscape, notably the marshes and coastal rivers.
