Item Details
Throughout his life, James E. Nowak has integrated science and art into his teaching, working life, and creative processes. While working as a nuclear engineer for the United States Navy, Nowak also pursued his interests in glass, studying at the Pratt School of Fine Arts and the Pilchuck Glass School, and has worked with formidable glass artists Dale Chihuly, Stephan Dale Edwards, William Morris, and Dante Marioni. He gains inspiration from the surroundings of the Pacific Northwest, where he lives, makes art, and teaches. His work is represented in many public and private collections across the country.
