John Nieto was born in Denver, Colorado in 1936 and is known for his Native American themed paintings, etchings, graphics, and sculptures. He has exhibited all over the world and is housed in the permanent collections of the Booth Museum, Cartersville, GA; National Museum of Wildlife Art, Jackson Hole, WY; The Blanton Museum of Art at The University of Texas at Austin, Austin TX; New Mexico Museum of Fine Arts, Santa Fe, NM; Marine Corp Museum, Washington, D.C.; and The Heard Museum, Phoenix, AZ.
