Will Barnet attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, where he studied with Philip Leslie Hale. He continued his studies at the Art Students League of New York with Stuart Davis and Charles Locke and was hired as the League’s official printer. Barnet was also employed as a graphic artist for the Works Progress Administration Federal Art Project, and he produced prints for many artists, including José Clemente Orozco, as well as publishing his own work. His work has been collected by numerous institutions including the Museum of Modern Art, the National Gallery of Art, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among others.
