Skeleton Grasshopper Clock
Item Details
A fusee movement grasshopper clock with glass and brass dome having a front door that opens. It measures 19 1/4 × 13 1/4 inches, on a wooden base and with porcelain roman numeral dial 4 inches in diameter. There is a functioning seconds wheel above the time dial. It has two batons, which rotate back and forth as the clock is running with its special grasshopper escapement. It is powered by a fusee mechanical wind movement with thick brass plates. It has its matching glass and brass dome, having a front door that opens to wind and set the clock.
