A W. Walscheid Solingen sword. This is an original German W. Walschied sword manufactured in Solingen, Germany. It is a United States officer’s sword as indicated by the U S, eagle, and ‘E Pluribus Unum’ on the curved over the handle. The blade is marked ‘W. Walscheid Solingen’ to one side and ‘PROVED’ to the other. The blade has decorative scroll work on both sides and is sharp. Please see photos for detail.
