French artist Roger Mühl attended the National School of Decorative Arts in his hometown of Strasbourg. With the passing of time, Mühl developed an iconic style of landscapes rendered in thickly built-up impasto of neutral hues, transcribing a unique atmospheric light. After leaving Strasbourg, he spent most of his life living in Provence in southeastern France. Mühl has exhibited in London, Paris, Geneva, Tokyo, and New York and is owned by many private and public collections.

- vertical cracks with cleavage throughout painting; slight yellowing to paint surface; abrasions and edge wear to frame; accretion throughout; tape to verso peeling in places.
