Ancient Roman Imperial AR Siliqua coin of Valentinian II, ca. 388 A.D. Lyons mint. Obverse: DN VALENTINIANVS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Reverse: VRBS ROMA, Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory on a globe and a barbed spear. Mintmark LVGPS. Metal Content: silver. Diameter: 16.5 mm. Reference RIC 43a1. Coin is very lightly circulated, and features a pleasing dark iridescent tone.
