Retro Wooden Pay Phone Booth

A wooden retro pay phone booth with a truly retro look in wonderful condition. It has the yellow and orange shag carpet of the 1970s, mirror squares with flowing gold paint, a tan and chrome Bell System telephone made by Western Electric along with two telephone books – a 1980 Cincinnati Bell White Pages and a 1980 Northern Kentucky Yellow Pages. This is an absolutely wonderful eclectic piece of 1950s or 1960s lobby style phone booth The booth itself was manufactured by Western Electric and is finished on three sides. It has all original parts with the original folding door that works smoothly. The light and fan turn on when the door is closed, and off when opened. The phone has a dial tone, is set up for analog, and can be dialed. The back wall and seat are covered in orange shag carpet while the back is covered in yellow shag and the other side in yellow shag and mirrors with gold flowing paint. The wood type looks to be white pine. There is also a metal telephone sign included with this purchase.
- EBTH was able to determine that this item was in working condition as far as the electric components are concerned at the time it was cataloged. We were not able to determine if the phone will actually place calls although it does have a dial tone. However, EBTH neither warrants nor guarantees the continuing working condition of this item. Therefore, refunds based on the working condition of this item will not be issued.
Condition
It is in very good condition with no vandalism or graffiti outside – or inside as far as can be seen with the carpet. The carpet and mirrors were glued on by the current owners, not part of the original booth. The light and door function perfectly. There is some damage to the bottom of the cabinet. This is a very heavy piece. Please bring assistance and equipment (at least a two wheel cart) for moving this item. There is an exterior basement exit to facilitate move out. EBTH staff will not be able to provide moving assistance.
