William Walton was best known for his romantic, luminist landscapes, often involving wildlife or cattle. His works have been sold through many prestigious auction houses, such as Christie’s, and are collected across the United States.

- canvas likely relined; craquelure, heavy varnishing, areas of inpainting, darkening to varnish and accretion across painting surface; multiple soft indents throughout painting surface; abrasions with minor paint loss near painting perimeter; wear and abrasions to frame.
