Robert Louis Kidd was an American fiber artist, weaving instructor, and gallerist. He graduated from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1964 and acted as head of the Cranbrook fiber department from 1967 to 1969. Kidd went on to co-found the Robert Kidd Gallery in Birmingham, Michigan with his partner and fellow artist Ray Frost Fleming.

Condition

- some button supports have been repaired with green wire around yarn bundles and may slip from curtain slide when moved; accretion throughout, with some debris caught in yarn tassels; unraveled and tangled areas of yarn tassels; wrapped yarn binding is loose and/or broken to several areas of hanging bundles; accretion, scratches, marks, and abrasions present throughout acrylic hanging panels, curtain slide and wood panel mount boards; graphite measurement and construction markings throughout wood panels.
