Paavo Airola was born in Finland in 1918, and studied at both the Isaac Grünewald Art School and the Otte Skoid Art School in Stockholm. Sweden, before emigrating to Canada. Airola exhibited throughout the Americas, and has work in the collections of the National Gallery, Stockhom; Orebros Museum of Fine Art, Sweden; Hudikswal Art Museum, Sweden; London Art Museum, Ontario and the Zacks Collection, New York.
