Pang Jen, as a painter, has enjoyed pronounced success, none of which is unwarranted. The artist’s style is consistently articulate, speaking in a tone of utter style and grace, punctuated by a unique yet modernist sensibility that sets his work apart, and elevates it too. This painting is a quality example of the artist’s work, and features a wonderful depiction of three boats idly drifting in the water, floating next to one another. The color palette is dominated by Purplish tones complimented by hues of yellow, cobalt, seafoam, and pink. The painting is signed to the lower left hand corner, and is beautifully presented in a composite frame with metallic graphite colored coating.
