American Cherry Corner Cupboard, Mid-19th Century

Item Details

The one-piece case features a flared cornice above canted, front corners and a pair of blind, double-paneled doors concealing a four-shelf interior. Directly below is a pair of blind-paneled doors before a two-shelf interior. The cupboard rises on cutout feet flanking a scalloped skirt.

Condition

- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, and abrasions consistent with age and use; right-most piece of cornice has been replaced; upper left door with repairs to hinge mounts (on the door and case); knobs and latches are probably associated/later; interior shelves with larger stains; other possible imperfections, wear, and repairs/restorations.
