- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, and abrasions consistent with age and use; exterior retains its original vinegar grain and sponge painting with scattered wear/losses (most notably to lid); hinge mounts on back edge of lid have been repaired/built up; till is missing its hinged lid; feet with some losses thus chest has a bit of a wobble; no key; other possible imperfections, wear, and repairs/restorations.
