French Postmodernist artist Claude Garache worked in many mediums including sculpture, painting, and printmaking; often depicting visions of the female figure. He was well-regarded by peers and critics. Joan Miró and Marc Chagall referred him to art dealer Aimé Maeght and worked alongside many Postmodern artists such as Alberto Giacometti, Fernand Léger and more. His works have been exhibited in renowned museums including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Musée National d’Art Moderne in Paris, the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington D.C., and the Cincinnati Museum.
