Caswell-Runyan Company Cedar Chest

A Caswell-Runyan Company cedar chest. A walnut chest with hinged top and locking mechanism (key not present). The front has a pretty applied floral design and carved linear design. There is a pretty carved design around lower edge. The piece is finished with ball feet. The top opens to a roomy cedar storage to inside (still smells of cedar). Inscribed ‘A gift to my girl Vera, who is now my wife for Xmas 1929, Lewis M. Harrison, Dayton, Ohio’ to underside.

Condition

There are scratches to top and a chip to veneer on top in back section. There is a large nick to the foot on back.
