Item Details
A brass rolling drum incline plane clock. A clock that has a drum design with a brass case accented with rows of brass openwork flowers and a beaded bezel surrounding a beveled glass top which, when placed at the top of the inclined plane, over the course of approximately one week, rolls down the plane using gravity to pull against the movement train contained within. The face remains in an upright position with a counterbalance to maintain the correct viewing angle. The clock dial is white porcelain with black Arabic numbers, openwork hands and a hand-painted red and green foliate design. The clock has a gravity-driven movement with balance wheel escapement with carved, reticulated wood base.
