Dresden Hand-Painted Porcelain Pedestal Designed by Carl Thieme
Item Details
A Dresden porcelain and onyx pedestal designed by Carl Thieme. The plinth features hand-painted scenes of of women accented by foliage designed in gold tones. Somes scenes are signed ‘Wagner’ and are copies after Charles-Amable Lenoir, Edouard Bisson and more. The pedestal includes the ‘X Thieme’ mark to the underside, dating the piece to 1888 – 1901.

- upper portion is loose on the plinth base; minor toning to gilding; some of the moriage dots have chipped off
