1800s Masonic Voting Box

Item Details

An 1800s Masonic voting box. The expression of black balling came from the voting process of Masons inducting new members. Our solid wood box was used and members would drop in clay bowls of black or white. White was a positive vote. Black was the negative, thus black balled. This item includes the hand crafted box with handle and hinged door to remove balls and black and white clay balls.
