Framed and Signed Original Carlo Montesi Watercolor on Paper Painting

An original watercolor painting on paper, signed to the lower right-hand corner by well listed artist Carlo Antonio Montesi (1920 – ). This is a fine watercolor, wonderfully impressionistic, with a conveyance deliberated by precise gesture, wherein the viewer is supplied with just enough information to imply the scene’s entirety. An abbey is depicted here in the Italian countryside, with beautiful mountains in the background, and white billows rolling through the blue skies overhead. A wonderfully atmospheric painting presented in a white wooden frame with a single bordered mat to edge.

Condition

Painting appears to be in great shape whereas the mat is toned and the frame is missing paint and is stained along its bottom edge.
