Vintage Carved Ivory Hawaiian Pikake Flower Necklace, Most likely by "Gumps"
Item Details
A vintage carved ivory Hawaiian Pikake flower choker style necklace, the quality of the carving suggesting it was most likely done by ‘Gumps’. The necklace was popular in the early 1900’s and many were sold through Gumps in Honolulu. The beautifully carved beads (24 in all) appear to be in a continuous circle when in fact one bead disguises the screw clasp.
