Hummel five busy girls include Spring Cheer (HUM 72), Little Gardener (HUM 74), Happiness (HUM 86), Girl with Nosegay (HUM 239/A), and Girl with Doll (HUM 239/B). Spring Cheer has the older model yellow dress but the restyled flowers in the right hand. She has the incised model number 72 to the bottom as well as the blue Goebel TMK 3 W. Germany trademark and the artist’s mark in black. Little Gardener has the old model oval base and larger flower. She has the incised model number 74 to the bottom as well as the blue Goebel TMK 3 W. Germany trademark as well as the artist’s mark in black. Happiness has the incised model number 86 to the bottom as well as the blue Goebel TMK 3 W. Germany trademark as well as the artist’s mark in black. The smaller figurines are Girl with Nosegay and Girl with Doll. They have the incised model numbers 239/A and 239/B to the bottom and the copyright date (1967) as well as the blue Goebel TMK 3 W. Germany trademark and the artist’s mark in black.
Condition
These pieces are in good condition with no cracks, fading or chips. However, Spring Cheer, Girl with Nosegay, and Girl with Doll have s few lines of crazing to the base.
Dimensions
Above measurements are for Spring Cheer which is the largest of this group. The others vary in size.
