A contemporary marble finished bust of the ‘Veiled Lady’, by A. Fur, Firenze and also marked Diletttante. The bust has a bronze medallion, inset into the socle base, which reads, Arts And Commerce Promoted. The original of this copy, was sculpted by Raphelle Monti and purchased by the Duke of Devonshire, for the Chatsworth Collection. The Duke gave Copeland permission to copy the bust in 1875, who made parian ware versions for the public.
