Corbett Reynolds was born in Tacoma, WA and attended the Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, OH, where he lived and worked for the remainder of his life. Reynolds, a self-styled eccentric, worked in a diversity of art media, including textiles, performance art, and sculpture, but became a household name when he converted a condemned warehouse into a gallery and nightclub called Rudely Elegant, which specialized in experiential art and over-the-top parties attracting eccentrics and celebrities from all over the world.
