A signed 1991 serigraph by well-listed and renowned American Pop artist James Rosenquist (1933 – 2017), titled For the Young Artist. The print is signed and dated “Rosenquist 1991” in pencil to the lower right and numbered 31/80 followed by the title to the lower left. It is mounted to a white mat in a natural wood frame.

A leading figure in the American Pop Art movement, Rosenquist is best known for his large-scale oil paintings. He studied painting at the University of Minnesota and the Art Students League in New York. Rosenquist’s early career as a commercial artist painting billboards influenced his approach to fine art in technique as well as style. His works can be found in the collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and more.

- very slight warp to paper; dents to paper at lower edge and upper left corner; staining with tidelines and abrasions to verso of frame; split to wood of frame at lower right corner; light surface scratches and scuffs to frame.
