An original Charles J. Connick 1920s stained glass window. This leaded stained glass window depicts a pattern referred to as Grisaille. As part of Connick’s Gothic Revival style. of stain glass windows, this specific pattern displays hand-painted foliate and initially appeared in a church located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1912. From there Charles Connick moved to Boston, Massachusetts and opened a studio in 1913. Connick’s works can be found in such places as the Cathedrals of St. Patrick and St. John the Divine in New York City, Princeton University, the American Church in Paris, France, and the University of Pittsburgh.
