An acrylic painting on canvas by well-listed American artist William Cather Hook (born 1948). This painting is titled Old Santuario and depicts El Santuario de Chimayo, a National Historic Landmark and Roman Catholic church in Chimayó, New Mexico. This work is signed to the lower right. It is housed in a gold leafed wood frame and is equipped to hang.

William Cather Hook studied at the Kansas City Art Institute, University of New Mexico, Universita Per Straniere in Perugia, Italy and the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, California. His work is in the permanent collections of the Denver Art Museum, the Tucson Art Museum, the University of New Mexico, the FORBES Museum, NYC, and the Genesee Museum, NY.
