Vintage Belden Machine Co. Slater's Hammer

Item Details

A cast iron slater’s hammer made by Belden Machine Co. in New Haven, CT. Used to slate roofs. The handle is wrapped in black leather. The hammer is solid throughout. It has a claw to pull nails, is pointed on one end and has a hammerhead on the other end. This is definitely an old tool, but the specific age is unknown.

Condition

Light rust consistent with age.
