Carl Bevan was the drummer for the notorious British rock trio 60 ft. Dolls, who were instrumental in establishing the ‘Cool Cymru’ Welsh music scene in the 1990s. After a successful career which saw them touring the world, the band called it quits at the end of the 90s, allowing Bevan to pursue his other passion – painting. He now focuses his energy into expressive landscapes that convey movement and life with bold strokes and vivid color. His landscapes frequently depict strong dusk and dawn sunlight featuring scenes from the beautiful Welsh countryside. Being self taught he describes his experience of painting of like being in a fight ’ Sometimes you win , sometimes the painting wins’
