Sterling Silver Baltimore Silversmiths Mfg. Co. Teapot-on-Stand
Item Details
A circa 1905 sterling silver repoussé teapot-on-stand crafted by the Baltimore Silversmiths Mfg. Co., which eventually became part of Kirk Steiff. The teapot features a repoussé design of showy blossoms with a handle and spout suggestive of bamboo, and a figural branch and leave finial atop the hinged lid. The stand echoes the designs, with bamboo-look supports and blossoms and leaves to the base. A sterling silver burner with adjustable opening completes the piece. The approximate total weight, inclusive of non-sterling insulators, is 49.710 ozt.
