Appendix Horse Gelding Named "Blackie"

Item Details

According to the current owner and farm staff ‘Blackie’ was originally trained as a cattle/cutting horse before becoming a lead pony at Keeneland Racecourse. The seller purchased him to be used for pleasure riding. As an Appendix Horse he is half Quarter Horse and half Thoroughbred. Blackie is approximately twelve years old and has received training previously in addition to regular use. He has the potential to be a wonderful riding horse and no doubt will become your new best friend. Since Blackie has received limited riding time recently, we recommend that the winning bidder is prepared to have access to experienced riders or trainers to freshen up Blackie’s training so that he can be successful in his new job.
